5 of 5 Ideal for presentation work December 30, 2016

A very attractive grain, with great tactile qualities. It takes foil and tooling very well and is particular;ly suited to presentation bindings as well as to personal library volumes.

3 of 5 aniline straight grain goat November 30, 2016
Reviewer: Susie Cobbledick from Saint Louis, MO United States
I have not had a chance to work with the goat yet, but as soon as I unpacked it I noticed that the grain is not in the direction I need it to go. I will have to cut my spine across the spine of the skin; something I would prefer not to do. When I see this grain on books, it is horizontal, not vertical.
I do not want to return the skin; I will make it work, but I would suggest changing the grain direction in future. Just a thought.
